Counterfeit Notes Circulated

On Monday 13th April 2026, a 49 year old male was arrested within a Charity Retail Store on Cheadle High Street, for forgery offences.

A number of reports had been made in the days prior to the arrest, whereby the adult male had purchased and attempted to purchase items, with counterfeit bank notes.

The suspect was identified, arrested and has been dealt with in Police Custody, he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
